Job Description

Join Kaiser as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, providing essential mental health services to adults. You'll assess and coordinate treatment, collaborate with healthcare professionals, and support patients through psychotherapy and crisis intervention, making a positive impact in their lives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assess, develop, and coordinate clinical treatment programs for members with psychiatric disorders
  • Provide outpatient psychotherapy to individuals and groups
  • Chart members' treatments and progress
  • Instruct and counsel members regarding compliance with therapeutic regimens
  • Make referrals to case manager and community support services
  • Collaborate with physicians for psychotropic medication evaluation
  • Supervise PSW Assistants and PSW Interns, if qualified
  • Work on-call for emergency psychiatric care
  • Prepare intake summaries and maintain confidential records
  • Participate in departmental program development

Required Qualifications

  • Masters degree in Social Work, Social Welfare from a clinical track, Clinical or Counseling Psychology or related field
  • Licensed Clinical Social Worker (California)
  • National Provider Identifier required at hire
  • Familiarity with DSM-V for diagnosis
  • Experience in assessing, diagnosing and treating a broad range of psychiatric conditions
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Knowledge of social service agencies, state regulations, and professional board standards
  • Knowledge of Evidence-Based Practice and psychotherapy research methods
  • Accuracy in diagnosing patients and developing effective treatment plans
  • Competence in individual, family, and group psychotherapy
  • Professional maturity and ethical integrity
  • Commitment to quality of service and teamwork
  • Ability to complete multiple tasks/objectives in a timely manner

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous post license, paid experience as a member of a psychiatric treatment team in an outpatient setting/program under licensed supervision
  • Previous clinical responsibility to include crisis intervention, individual and group psychotherapy
  • Demonstrated professional maturity and ethical integrity
  • Demonstrated commitment to quality of service and teamwork
  • Demonstrated ability to complete multiple tasks/objectives in a timely manner
  • Accuracy in diagnosing patients and developing effective treatment plans
  • Competence in individual, family, and group psychotherapy
