Job Title: Otology Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant for Geisinger Medical CenterPosition Overview:
This job is primarily clinic based with no weekends or holidays. The position will involve a comprehensive onboarding process focused on building skill sets and becoming familiar with the subspecialties within ENT including head and neck cancer, otology, pediatrics, laryngology and rhinology.
Upon completion of onboarding this position will focus on building clinical knowledge and skills to provide ENT care in an outpatient setting in conjunction with our established team of otology ENT providers.
This position includes the ability to participate in multidisciplinary clinics with audiology and balance center.
Unique opportunities of this position include professional growth, ability to perform common ENT procedures such as nasal endoscopy, flexible laryngoscopy, and other otology specific procedures such as ear cleanings using microscopy. Other opportunities include weekly educational conferences offering CME credits, a chance to expand individual procedure skills, and the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct patient evaluations, obtain history and physical exams.
Diagnose and manage ENT conditions.
Order and interpret diagnostic tests including imaging, labs, and audiograms.
Perform in office procedures.
Develop and implement treatment plans, including prescribing medications.
Educate patients and families on medical conditions and treatment plans.
Coordinate care with other medical specialties.
