Job Description
As a Patient Services Representative at Optum, you'll play a crucial role in enhancing patient experiences by greeting them, verifying insurance information, and managing medical records. Key Responsibilities
Greet patients upon arrival
Obtain and update patient information
Perform insurance verification
File and maintain medical records
Confirm and schedule appointments
Answer phone calls courteously
Collect co-pays and outstanding balances
Document referrals promptly
Perform other assigned duties
Required Qualifications
High School Diploma/GED (or higher)
1+ years of experience in a medical front office
Preferred Qualifications
Knowledge of EMR (Electronic Medical Records) software
Proficient in typing (50-60 wpm) and Microsoft Office
Previous experience with medical terminology
