Job Description

Join Optum as a Pediatric Clinical Therapist and provide vital behavioral health services to children and adolescents in a hybrid care model. You'll play a key role in improving patient well-being through collaboration with healthcare providers and delivering evidence-based interventions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide direct clinical behavioral health services to pediatric patients
  • Coordinate care with primary care providers and psychiatrists
  • Screen and assess patients for mental health and substance abuse disorders
  • Track treatment response and monitor patients for clinical changes
  • Support psychotropic medication management
  • Provide brief behavioral interventions using evidence-based techniques
  • Participate in caseload consultation and communicate treatment recommendations
  • Develop relapse prevention self-management plans

Required Qualifications

  • Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW)
  • Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC)
  • Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT)
  • Experience providing behavioral health services to pediatric patients
  • 3+ years of experience treating patients with behavioral health conditions
  • 1+ years of experience in primary care or integrated medical settings
  • Experience with evidence-based psychosocial treatments

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in the Collaborative Care Model (CoCM)
  • Detail-oriented and organized
  • Ability to maintain professional relationships
  • Experience with virtual and in-person patient interactions
  • Proficiency with technology solutions
