Compensation

• Estimated Weekly Salary Range: $1930 - $2070 per week

Med/Surg RN Job Details

• Location: Pittsfield, MA (01201) – Massachusetts healthcare jobs
• Assignment Length: 13-week travel RN contract
• Start Date: November 3, 2025
• End Date: February 2, 2026
• Shift: 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM (12-hour day shifts)
• Hours per Week: 36
• Weekend/Holiday: Every other weekend and two major holidays required
• Unit Size: 20–34 beds (varies by unit)
• Patient Ratio: 1:6 typical
• Dress Code: Personal scrubs (any color)

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of recent Med/Surg RN experience
• Active Massachusetts Registered Nurse license
• Current BLS (AHA), ACLS (AHA), and NIHSS certifications (all required at submission)
• Telemetry nursing experience required
• Basic Dysrhythmia course completion strongly preferred
• Meditech Expanse EHR experience strongly preferred
• Ability to float to any Med/Surg unit as needed
• Reliable personal vehicle required for assignment
• COVID-19 vaccination (dose on or after 10/3/23) or approved exemption (mask required if exempted)
• Must live more than 50 miles from facility (travel nurse requirement)
• Application must include permanent address, work history, current skills checklist (within 1 year), 1 supervisory reference (from past 2 years), and all required licenses/certifications

Med/Surg RN Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to medical-surgical patients in a fast-paced hospital environment
• Monitor, assess, and document patient conditions and responses to treatment
• Administer medications and perform prescribed treatments
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare team members for optimal patient outcomes
• Float to other Med/Surg units as needed throughout the hospital
• Participate in orientation and ongoing clinical training
• Ensure compliance with all hospital policies, procedures, and regulatory standards
• Deliver compassionate patient and family education and support

Note: All requested time off (RTO) must be submitted with your application. No more than 5 days of RTO accepted. Block scheduling is not available. Holiday coverage for two major holidays is required during the assignment.
