Job Description
Join Raytheon as a Mechanical Analysis Section Leader in Tucson, AZ, where you will lead a talented team of engineers in delivering high-quality mechanical analysis and support across various programs. You will play a critical role in ensuring the success of engineering initiatives and contribute to a safer world through advanced technology.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and manage a team of 15-20 engineers
Provide technical development, mentoring, and performance management
Ensure accuracy of technical output and decision-making
Support department and engineering initiatives
Coordinate staffing needs and optimize resource utilization
Perform individual contributor workload
Resolve technical problems related to materials and processes
Provide technical oversight throughout product life cycle
Required Qualifications
Bachelor of Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) degree
Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience (or 14+ years without a degree)
Experience with materials and process design, development, and/or production support for military programs
Experience in cross-functional teams
Experience in testing methods for physical properties of materials
Experience in failure analysis of mechanical assemblies
Preferred Qualifications
Ten years of experience in materials problem solving or evaluation/validation of material properties
Demonstrated ability to lead multi-disciplined projects
Direct experience in aerospace industry materials support
Advanced degree in related disciplines
Understanding of Systems Engineering
Knowledge of data analysis and computational techniques
Strong communication and planning skills
Ability to write technical reports
Knowledge of MATLAB, Creo and/or Python
Proficiency in MS Office
