Position Summary:

Person Memorial Hospital is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Emergency Room Registered Nurse (RN) to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality, patient-centered care in a fast-paced ER environment. This role requires critical thinking, rapid decision-making, and the ability to remain calm under pressure.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver direct patient care based on the nursing process and hospital policies.
  • Triage, assess, and monitor patients presenting with a wide range of acute conditions.
  • Administer medications, treatments, and procedures as prescribed.
  • Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement care plans.
  • Educate patients and families on diagnoses, treatment plans, and post-discharge care.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic medical record (EMR).
  • Respond to emergency situations with appropriate interventions.
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory and safety standards.

Qualifications:

  • Current RN license in the state of North Carolina (or compact state license).
  • BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required
  • Minimum 3-5 year of ER experience
  • Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Ability to work must be able to work rotating weekends.
