ICU Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Illinois or compact state (Illinois RN jobs)
• BLS certification (Basic Life Support) required
• Minimum 1 year of recent ICU nursing experience
• Ability to work 12-hour night shifts in an acute care setting
• Strong clinical, critical thinking, and communication skills

• Provide high-quality, compassionate patient care to critically ill adults in the Intensive Care Unit
• Monitor, assess, and document patient conditions utilizing the EPIC electronic medical record system
• Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary healthcare teams to develop and implement individualized care plans
• Administer medications, treatments, and interventions as prescribed by healthcare providers
• Educate and support patients and their families throughout the care process
• Maintain a safe, clean, and compliant work environment in accordance with hospital and healthcare regulations
