Job Description
Join Uncommon Schools as a College Counselor, where you will work closely with students and families to navigate the college application process, ensuring students find colleges that align with their goals. This role emphasizes building strong relationships, instilling a culture of college readiness, and advocating for student success.
Key Responsibilities
Teach 11th and 12th grade college seminar courses guiding students through the college application process
Build a culture of college and career readiness among students
Collaborate with parents to ensure a positive partnership
Refine expertise through professional development
Build relationships with college admissions offices
Support planning and execution of college visits and information sessions
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree
Minimum of two years experience in an urban district or charter school setting
Prior experience working with high school students and families and/or within the college admissions field
Preferred Qualifications
Master’s degree
