Job Description: Registered Nurse (RN) - Days, 3x12 Hour Shifts

Overview

We are currently seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team for a full-time position working 3x12 hour shifts. The role is primarily for day shifts, with hours from 07:00 AM to 07:30 PM, including every other weekend. This position offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic environment caring for a diverse patient population.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate and personalized care to patients from adulthood through geriatrics.
• Administer medications, monitor vital signs, and manage intravenous therapy and catheter care.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including physical therapy, pharmacy, and social services.
• Utilize telemetry monitoring to closely observe patient conditions.
• Assist with physical therapy requirements in a dedicated gym on the unit.
• Support patient recovery for those undergoing orthopedic and surgical procedures.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and maintain compliance with health care regulations.

Requirements

• Current and valid Nursing License (required).
• Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience in a medical-surgical or telemetry setting.
• Previous charge experience is preferred.
• Experience with Epic charting system is a must.
• Mandatory BLS certification.
• Ability to pass EKG exam as part of compliance requirements.
• Willingness to float to other campuses as needed.

Facility Details

This 32-bed unit provides care for orthopedic and medical-surgical patients, including those recovering from total joint replacements and various surgical procedures. The unit features telemetry monitoring capabilities and a physical therapy gym for enhanced patient recovery. The interdisciplinary support team includes IV teams, respiratory services, rapid response teams, and more.

Compliance and Submission

Compliance requires a full file submitted by 12 Noon EST on the Wednesday prior to the start date. Ensure that no time off is planned that could interfere with the compliance timeline.
