Key Responsibilities

  • Provide exceptional service to all customers
  • Greets patients and manages wait time
  • Complete check-in and check-out tasks including insurance verification
  • Collect co-payments and deductibles
  • Manage cashier box and daily deposits
  • Process walk-in patients and visitors
  • Answer phones and schedule appointments
  • Manage medical records and correspondence
  • Ensure cleanliness in the waiting room
  • Collaborate with back-office staff for smooth patient flow
  • Resolve service issues and assist colleagues as needed

Required Qualifications

  • High School Diploma / GED (or higher)
  • 2+ years of customer service experience
  • 1+ years of medical office experience
  • Intermediate level of proficiency using a computer and Microsoft Office Applications

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous medical office experience
  • Knowledge of medical coding
  • Demonstrated clerical skills (typing, filing, telephone courtesy)
  • Knowledge of business office operations and basic bookkeeping principles
  • Knowledge of HIPAA regulations
  • Working knowledge of ECW
  • Bilingual English and Spanish
