As a Nurse Manager in the Operating Room, you will oversee 24-hour patient care services, ensuring high-quality, cost-effective care that aligns with regulatory requirements. You will manage departmental operations, budgets, and staff development while implementing standards to improve patient care outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
Manage the operations of 24-hour departments
Ensure compliance with Nursing Practice Act and other regulations
Establish and maintain patient care and service standards
Develop and monitor departmental budgets
Staff management including hiring, training, and development
Oversee standards of care and fiscal management
Required Qualifications
Minimum four (4) years of clinical nursing experience related to area of specialization
Four (4) years of management, supervisory, or leadership experience
Graduate of accredited school of nursing
Bachelors Degree in Nursing or Masters Degree in Nursing
Registered Nurse License (California)
Basic Life Support certification
Preferred Qualifications
Two (2) years of management experience
One (1) year of Magnet/shared governance experience
One (1) year of managing in a bargaining environment
