SealRock Healthcare, part of the Atlantic Heights Community, is a fully-licensed Medicaid/Medicare-certified facility offering 105 beds. Our Maintenance Team supports the entire Atlantic Heights Community, which includes The Inn, an 80-apartment assisted living, and The Cottages, 45 independent living cottages.

Sign-on Bonus: $10K

Pay Range: $40-$47

First Atlantic Healthcare is seeking an Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) to join our team, providing quality care in Maine communities.

The ADON, in collaboration with the Director of Nursing, oversees daily nursing operations, ensuring regulatory compliance, adherence to nursing standards, and excellent customer service. The ideal candidate will demonstrate aptitude, intelligence, and positive energy to promote high morale, customer satisfaction, regulatory compliance, and quality of care.

Skills and Abilities:

  • Excellent communication skills, written and verbal
  • Strong computer skills, including electronic medical records
  • Leadership and development skills
  • Analytical skills to interpret data and improve facility performance
  • Good judgment and critical thinking skills

Certificates and Licenses:

  • Current RN license in Maine
  • Certification upon hire or during orientation; CPR certification must be maintained

Areas of Focus:

Clinical:

  • Ensure clinical competency and training, accurate documentation, oversight of care planning, and assessment of resident needs.

Professional:

  • Engage with medical, community, and business groups; develop health programs; communicate effectively with staff and physicians; stay informed of nursing laws and regulations; adhere to company policies; provide direct nursing care as needed.

Operations:

  • Manage fiscal operations, coordinate interdepartmental activities, develop programs, analyze data, prepare reports, optimize resource use, develop record systems, and ensure safety and compliance.
