Key Responsibilities
Safely operates the ground ambulance obeying all driving laws
Conducts inspections of the assigned ambulance
Provides feedback and participates in safety initiatives
Adheres to department policies, procedures, and safety standards
Ensures cleanliness and appropriate supply levels in transport vehicles
Maintains professional radio communications
Performs basic airway techniques and patient comfort measures
Participates in safety programs and community outreach efforts
Required Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED
Successful completion of an approved EMT course
Completion of an approved emergency vehicle driving course
NREMT - National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians-Basic (EMT-B)
EMT - Emergency Medical Tech in the District of Columbia within 30 Days
EMT - Emergency Medical Tech in Maryland
Valid State Driver's License in good standing
Completion of approved Emergency Vehicle Operations Course
Preferred Qualifications
1-2 years EMT experience
