This is a limited license position for a registry eligible Technologist. Accountable for performing quality diagnostic imaging examinations with direct supervision from a registered radiologic technologist. This position is accountable for providing direct patient care, transporting and maintaining expertise for all ages spanning from neonatal/ newborn to adults. The patient acuity ranges from stable outpatients to critically ill patients on full life support. This position will be limited to second year student currently enrolled in an approved/accredited Radiology program and will not exceed 60 days after graduation. Once employee is licensed as an ARRT technologist, they are no longer qualified for this position. If continued employment is desired with Cook Children's, employee will need to apply for an available radiographer position.
Qualifications:
Must have High School diploma or equivalent
Currently enrolled and in good standing as a second-year student of an accredited Radiologic Technology Program
Good interpersonal skills
Licensed as a Non-Certified Technician by Texas Medical Board (proof of licensure within 45 days of hire)
BLS - CPR required
