Raytheon is seeking a Mechanical Analysis Section Leader to manage an engineering team in Tucson, AZ. This critical role involves leading mechanical analysis activities to support product life cycles and ensuring high-quality technical outputs.
Key Responsibilities
Manage and lead a team of 15-20 engineers
Provide mentorship, training, and performance management
Ensure accuracy of technical outputs
Coordinate staffing needs and resource utilization
Perform individual contributor workload in subject matter discipline
Evaluate and resolve technical and operational problems
Provide engineering support throughout product life cycle
Required Qualifications
Bachelor of Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) degree
Minimum of 10 years of prior relevant experience
Experience with materials and process design for military programs
Experience in working on a cross-functional team
Experience in testing methods for materials
Experience with analysis and requirements of PWB/CCA interconnects
Experience in failure analysis of mechanical assemblies
Experience in dimensional inspection/measurement techniques
Preferred Qualifications
Ten years of experience in materials problem solving
Demonstrated ability to lead multi-disciplined projects
Direct experience in aerospace industry materials support
Advanced degree in relevant disciplines
Understanding of Systems Engineering
Knowledge of data analysis and computational techniques
Strong communication and planning skills
Ability to write concise technical reports
Knowledge of MATLAB, Creo, and/or Python
Proficient in MS Office Suite
