Join ECHN as a Per Diem Speech Language Pathologist, where you will provide vital treatments to patients, evaluate their needs, and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to enhance patient care. Your expertise will contribute significantly to restoring and improving patient functions while also educating families and supervising students.
Key Responsibilities
Evaluates patients based on departmental standards.
Conducts and modifies evaluations based on patient's symptoms and establishes individualized goals.
Treats patients with appropriate therapeutic techniques.
Administers physical agents and manual therapeutic techniques.
Educates patients/families on home exercise programs and functional activities.
Determines when a patient has achieved maximal benefit from treatment.
Documents in accordance with insurance guidelines and adheres to department policies.
Seeks and fosters interdepartmental communication regarding patient care.
Supervises at least one affiliated student per year.
Attends continuing education courses to improve treatment techniques.
Required Qualifications
Graduate of an accredited program of Speech Language Pathology with a minimum of a M.S.
Holds or is eligible for current Connecticut license.
Eligible or has a Certificate of Clinical Competency from the American Speech Language and Hearing Association.
Valid driver's license for occasional travel between ECHN business sites.
