Job Details:
• Work 3x12 hour shifts with guaranteed 36 hours per workweek
• Patient ratio of 4:1 during days, nights, and weekends
• At least 1 year of travel experience required
• Level I or Level II trauma experience preferred
• 2 years of nursing experience required
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, PALS, TNCC
• Every other weekend requirement
• Must work 2 out of 3 major holidays
• Float requirement to nearby sister facilities as needed (rarely occurs)
• Care for patients of all ages: neonates, infants, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics
• 53 room emergency department with daily census of 150
• Skills include continuous IV sedation, dysrhythmia interpretation and management, starting and maintaining IVs, triage, and ventilated patient care
• 48 hours of orientation required
• Charting system experience preferred (Cerner)
• Pre-start modules required (4-6 hours, non-billable)
• Must have nursing license in hand prior to start date
• 2 supervisor references required
• University must be accredited by ACEN or CCNE at graduation

This healthcare facility operates a comprehensive 53-room emergency department that serves a high-volume patient population with a daily census of 150. The facility provides trauma care services and maintains interdisciplinary support including respiratory services, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, and unit secretary support. The emergency department handles both adult and pediatric patients across all age groups and specializes in complex emergency care including continuous IV sedation and ventilated patient management.
