Job Title: Locum - Physician - General Medicine
Join our dedicated team in Houston, North Carolina, offering vital health services to our nation's veterans. Providing Compensation & Pension exams and Separation Health Assessments, you will play a crucial role in ensuring veterans receive the care and recognition they deserve. This position allows for flexibility with the option to work from your own office, supporting our mission of serving those who have served.
Job Responsibilities:
- Conduct one-time, non-treatment Compensation & Pension exams and health assessments.
- Perform interviews and physical assessments, including range of motion and muscle strength testing.
- Complete required documentation and submit reports post-exam.
- Participate in quick credentialing and onboarding processes.
- Work on a PRN basis with the option for half-day (4-hour) or full-day (8-hour) shifts.
- Engage in follow-up administrative tasks as necessary.
Qualifications:
- Proficient in METs testing and evaluating respiratory and cardiovascular conditions.
- Previous experience in family medicine, internal medicine, orthopedic surgery, or general medicine preferred.
- Strong background in conducting interviews and assessments related to Compensation & Pension.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
License and Certification Requirements:
- Active and unrestricted medical license in North Carolina.
- Board Certification is preferred.
- Must possess and be willing to complete DMA training for certification.
- Ownership of a laptop (non-Mac/Apple products) is required.
