Job Description

Join RiverWoods Manchester as a Fitness Coordinator to develop and manage innovative fitness and wellness programs for our vibrant community. You'll teach engaging fitness classes, promote healthy lifestyles, and contribute to the well-being of our residents and staff. Key Responsibilities

  • Teach group fitness classes for residents and staff
  • Contribute to an active, healthy culture for residents
  • Develop marketing campaigns to promote healthy lifestyles
  • Demonstrate proper operation of fitness equipment
  • Recommend new wellness and fitness programs
  • Provide quality customer service and support
  • Research off-site fitness options
  • Track attendance and performance data related to wellness events
  • Conduct needs assessments or surveys on wellness programs
  • Collaborate with Social Event Coordinators to plan fitness programs
  • Team up with Dining Program to promote nutritious dining options
  • Manage and oversee fitness equipment

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science, Kinesiology, Physical Education, or related field of study, or commensurate experience
  • 2 – 5 years working with the senior population
  • Fitness certification can include ACE, AFAA, other
  • Ability to communicate complex training principles in a clear and concise manner

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in Exercise Science, Kinesiology, Physical Education, or related field of study, or commensurate experience
  • 5+ years of experience working with the senior population
  • Experience working in an Independent Living and Assisted Living environment
  • FAI, NSCA, NASM certification
  • First Aid, CPR certified
  • Experience planning, coordinating, and leading Outdoor Adventure opportunities
