Join Raytheon's Precision Control Actuation System department as a Senior Mechanical Engineer. You'll support the development and verification of control actuation systems while leveraging advanced engineering expertise in a collaborative, hands-on environment.
Key Responsibilities
Provide various mechanical engineering support based on program needs.
Support detailed mechanical design, earned value management, test design and execution, and systems engineering.
Work autonomously with oversight, coach and review the work of lower level professionals.
Required Qualifications
B.S. in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, Math or related science degree
A minimum of 5 years of experience in mechanical engineering or 3 years related experience with an advanced degree
Experience in mechanical mechanism design OR flight control systems for aerospace applications
Preferred Qualifications
Experience developing flight control systems for aerospace applications
Advanced degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Physics
Basic proficiency with model development and data analysis in MATLAB/Simulink
Experience working with and integrating hardware
Basic knowledge of DOORS, CAMEO, and/or other requirements management tools
Systems engineering design and development
Experience with dSPACE Real-time test systems
Proven ability to deconstruct higher level tasks into discrete lower-level work packages and tasks
Ability to estimate project/tasks level of effort
Ability to cross collaborate with geographically distributed teams
Experience and certifications in Earned Value Project Management
Ability to articulate, in both oral and written form, to technical, non-technical and management audiences
Proficient in Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Powerpoint)
