Description:

Summary:
The CT Technologist operates computed tomography (CT) equipment to produce cross-sectional images of patients' internal organs, bones, and tissues for diagnostic purposes. They ensure patient safety, follow physician instructions, and work closely with radiologists and healthcare teams.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and position patients for CT procedures to ensure accurate imaging.

• Operate CT scanners and related equipment to capture diagnostic images.

• Administer contrast materials (oral, IV, or rectal) as directed by a physician.

• Monitor patients during scans to ensure safety and comfort.

• Review images for quality and accuracy before sending to radiologists.

• Maintain patient records, imaging logs, and ensure confidentiality.

• Follow radiation safety and infection control protocols.

• Perform routine equipment checks and coordinate maintenance as needed.
