We are looking for a skilled Patient Accounts Representative to manage patient accounts and ensure accurate billing in a healthcare setting. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of insurance processes and healthcare regulations, coupled with excellent communication skills to assist patients effectively.
Key Responsibilities
Demonstrate a solid working knowledge of insurance processes
Accurately record payments received from patients and insurance companies
Conduct regular reviews of patient accounts to identify discrepancies
Interact with patients and their families to address billing inquiries
Initiate collection efforts for past-due accounts
Maintain detailed and accurate records of all interactions and transactions
Ensure strict compliance with healthcare billing regulations
Generate regular reports on accounts receivable status and collections efforts
Required Qualifications
Previous experience in a similar role within healthcare finance or billing
Strong understanding of insurance processes and healthcare billing regulations
Excellent communication and negotiation skills
Proficient in relevant software applications for billing and financial record-keeping
