The Department of Radiation Oncology at Henry Ford Health (HFH) in Michigan is recruiting for a full-time, American Board of Radiology board eligible/certified radiation oncolog y faculty position. The candidate must have a license to practice medicine in the state of Michigan or be eligible to obtain licensure to practice in the state of Michigan.

The successful applicant will assist in the development and enhancement of the department's ability to provide clinical expertise in the multidisciplinary care of patients. Faculty are also expected to participate in clinical trials, research, and education. This is an exciting opportunity to practice in a cutting-edge clinical environment, engage in clinical and/or translational research and teach. Our team works closely together to foster a positive culture and a collegial work environment. Physician scientists may benefit from start-up support.

The department includes cutting-edge technologies, including both MR- and CT-guided adaptive capabilities, HDR brachytherapy, SRS/SBRT, hyperthermia, TBI/TSET, and a dedicated MR simulator. All campuses are integrated with Eclipse/ARIA on a single database. Physics QA procedures are standardized across all sites. The department includes strong radiation physics and biology divisions actively engaged in translational research, such as AI, FLASH and gene therapy.

Henry Ford Health, an equal opportunity employer, is on an unprecedented trajectory over the coming 5-10 years, with exciting new collaborations announced recently. A 30-year research partnership was announced with Michigan State University (MSU) with goals for implementation of a new collaborative research building in the Detroit/HFH area, and application for NCI comprehensive cancer center designation for HFH/MSU in the coming years. Moreover, a new $2.5B HFH hospital was announced in partnership with the Detroit Pistons with a community-centric design to include facilities for clinical care, research, and recreation. Construction of the new research building and hospital has begun.
