Cardiovascular Cath Lab RN

Anchorage, AK

Schedule: Full-time • No Weekends

Shift times: 7a – 7:30p (12 hr shifts)

Job Summary

As a highly-skilled and compassionate Cath-Lab Nurse, you will provide assistance with all invasive cardiac, vascular, and interventional procedures. You will demonstrate clinical competency, nursing judgment, teaching skills, and a commitment to providing quality patient care. You will be part of a team dedicated to delivering a quality patient care experience. We are seeking passionate individuals ready to advance their careers.

In this role, you will be responsible for all testing and therapeutics conducted in the Cath lab, including but not limited to: cardiac catheterizations, coronary interventions, EP device and ablation therapies, interventional radiology, neuro diagnostics/interventions, endovascular procedures, and structural Heart procedures (LAAC, TAVR).

You will facilitate effective communication among departmental staff to ensure an interdisciplinary and collaborative approach to patient care, using the SBAR process for hand-off communication.

You will assist patients throughout all aspects of procedures, including transport, site preparation, sterile procedures, patient monitoring, hemostasis, and post-procedure care. You will also manage emergent cases.

You will maintain accurate, timely, and compliant patient records, complete all related paperwork, and prepare tests for physician interpretation.

You should demonstrate flexibility, organization, and the ability to perform well under stressful situations. Collaboration with team members and orientation of new staff are also essential.

Qualifications

• Current nursing license in good standing
• Associate's Degree in Nursing required; Bachelor's preferred
• Two to three years of Cath Lab experience; ER/ICU experience preferred
• American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS/BCLS) certification
• American Heart Association Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification
• RN license in AK required
• 3+ years experience in Cath Lab or 5+ years in a high-acuity setting (e.g., ICU)
• Experience with circulating, monitoring, and sedation medication management (including sedation drips)

Additional Details

• Unit beds/rooms: 3 rooms, averaging 4-6 procedures per day
