Job Description
As a Business Development Representative at Staples, you will drive revenue through new business in the public sector and commercial markets. This remote role focuses on building relationships with prospective customers and leveraging strategic initiatives to meet sales goals.
Key Responsibilities
Drive revenue from new customers
Build territory strategy and analyze performance
Qualify prospects and route opportunities
Schedule and conduct meetings with prospective customers
Utilize marketing collateral for presentations
Attend conferences and events
Create custom pricing solutions
Leverage education contracts for growth
Ensure smooth transition to account management

Work closely with sales leadership
Required Qualifications
High school diploma or GED
5+ years sales experience
6 months relevant experience in the public sector
Ability to cover New York City and surrounding areas
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in business, Marketing, or a related field
Proven business development experience
