Licensed Respiratory Therapist (LRT)

Seeking a Licensed Respiratory Therapist to deliver high-quality respiratory care by assessing, implementing, and evaluating treatments for patients in both critical and non-critical care settings. This role involves monitoring patient status, providing life-saving interventions, and collaborating with healthcare teams to improve outcomes.
Assess, plan, and deliver respiratory treatments considering patient age, cultural, and psychosocial factors.
Provide care in critical care units , including mechanical ventilation (invasive & non-invasive).
Administer therapies: nebulizers, MDI, oxygen therapy, humidity & aerosol therapy, PEP therapy, incentive spirometry, chest physiotherapy.
Assist with intubation, extubation, suctioning, bronchoscopy , and ventilator management.
Respond promptly to Code Blues, RIT/CRIT calls , and patient transports.
Accurately document patient care and verify physician orders in EMR systems.
Mentor new team members and delegate tasks to appropriate staff.
Support hospital goals through education, quality improvement projects , and process enhancements.
Communicate effectively with patients, families, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure exceptional care.
Education: Graduate of an accredited Respiratory Care program .
Experience: 0–6 months of related respiratory care experience (new grads welcome).
Licensure/Certifications:
Valid Oklahoma Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) License OR a Temporary Letter of Authorization .
CRT or RRT credentials through NBRC .
BLS certification (AHA) within 2 months of hire.
Skills: Strong clinical, communication, and critical-thinking skills; basic computer proficiency.
