Job Description
Join the Albany Medical Center Critical Care Float Pool as a Clinical Nurse III, where you'll gain critical care skills across various specialized units. This role involves implementing physician orders, providing patient assessments, and collaborating with a skilled nursing team in a dynamic environment.
Key Responsibilities
Implements physician orders and administers medications
Starts IVs and performs treatments, procedures, and special tests
Orders, interprets, and evaluates diagnostic tests
Assesses and evaluates patient needs and responses to care
Applies sound nursing judgment in patient care management
Provides primary and emergency care for injuries and illnesses
Collaborates with nursing team to create a Plan of Care
Directs and guides ancillary personnel
Required Qualifications
Graduate of a professional academic nursing program
Current NYS Registered Nurse license
Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS)
Certification in Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
1-3 years of previous clinical RN experience in Med-Surg or Progressive Care
Excellent communication, prioritization, organizational, and time-management skills
Knowledge of quality concepts and problem-solving techniques
