The Hospital of Central Connecticut (HoCC) is a 400-bed acute care teaching hospital affiliated with Hartford Healthcare, the largest integrated health care system in CT, nationally recognized for safety, excellence in clinical care, and innovation. We seek an experienced, charismatic OBGYN leader with an interest in academics and expertise in team building, programmatic development, and a commitment to quality and safety. Strong Obstetrical skills are necessary.
About the Opportunity
HoCC performs 1450 deliveries per year with a level 3a neonatal intensive care unit. The unit caters to the diverse Hartford County community. There is 24-hour in-house Obstetrics, Pediatrics, and Anesthesia to support patients, including a fully staffed OB Hospitalist service. HoCC is a primary teaching hospital for the University of Connecticut School of Medicine. There are 40 OB GYN residents (10 per year), of which 8-10 rotate at HOCC per block.
Reporting to the Vice President of Medical Affairs, this is a senior Physician leadership role with responsibility for the overall administrative activities of the Department in addition to the clinical duties. You will lead strategic, clinical, and academic initiatives-shaping care delivery, advancing excellence, and mentoring the next generation of OB GYN physicians. The position is expected to be 50% administrative.
