Position Details:
We're seeking a compassionate and collaborative Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join the colorectal surgery practice.
Role: Open to Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants
Setting: outpatient
Schedule: Full-time, weekdays only.
Shift Detail: Tue-Fri
Call schedule: 4-6 weekend calls per year at additional compensation

Colorectal Surgery Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants Role Scope:
The Colorectal Advanced Practitioner will work both in an ambulatory setting and perform daily hospital rounds for transition of care from hospital to home. APPs responsibilities will include new patient consultants, short and long term post- operative follow ups, and coordination of patient care across multiple disciplines. Additionally, APP will be expected to learn and perform in office procedures such as complex wound care, incision and drainages, and ostomy care. Advance practitioners daily collaborate with attending physicians and in office nursing staff to ensure the well-being of the colorectal patients. This opportunity may require travel to our satellite offices. This position may also have potential to grow administrative duties in the National Accreditation Program for Rectal Cancer.
