Join a respected team at Stanford Children's Hospital as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant in Pediatric Cardiology. Collaborate with physicians and fellows to provide comprehensive patient care, perform essential procedures, and contribute to the education of trainees.
Key Responsibilities
Receive sign-out from overnight team
Pre-round on assigned patients and develop care plans
Present patients on rounds and write daily notes
Implement care plans and respond to nursing issues
Perform procedures like intubation and central line placement
Evaluate and treat patients with acute and chronic complaints
Obtain histories, perform physical exams, and order diagnostic studies
Administer and prescribe medications
Coordinate inpatient and outpatient care
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree or above for PA
Graduate of an accredited PA program
Master's or doctoral degree in nursing for NP
Graduate of an accredited NP program
Licensure as a PA in California
Certification as a PA by NCCPA
Licensure as a Registered Nurse in California for NP
Certification as an NP in California
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
DEA license for prescribing controlled substances
