Join Cooper University Health Care as a Counselor, providing individual and group counseling as part of an interdisciplinary team. You will engage with patients dealing with substance use disorders, ensuring they receive comprehensive care and support in their journey to recovery.
Key Responsibilities
Provide evidence-based individual and group counseling
Conduct psychoeducation and family support groups
Manage care planning, referrals, case management, and advocacy
Support and monitor biopsychosocial treatment plans for patients
Provide skills training to facilitate disease self-management and coping
Coordinate behavioral health care for patients on medication assisted treatment
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in social work, counseling, or similar discipline
Licensed Social Worker (LSW) or Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) or Licensed Associate Counselor (LAC) or Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist (LMFT) or Licensed Associate Marriage and Family Therapist (LAMFT) or Licensed Clinical Alcohol & Drug Counselor (LCADC) or Certified Alcohol & Drug Counselor (CADC)
Preferred Qualifications
Understanding of addiction and mental health counseling
Knowledge of substance use disorders (SUD) and medication assisted treatment (MAT)
Excellent interpersonal communication skills
Experience working with underserved populations
