As a Radiology Technologist III at Alameda Health System, you will perform a variety of technical procedures in the Department of Diagnostic Imaging, ensuring high standards of patient care and safety. This part-time position involves independent judgment in technical tasks, supporting both patient needs and departmental operations.
Key Responsibilities
Performs a variety of technical procedures requiring independent judgment
Conducts general diagnostic and routine fluoroscopic duties
Produces radiographs and transfers patients
Selects proper technical factors for individual patients
Operates imaging equipment
Develops film using automatic processing
Provides radiation safety protection
Assists physicians in administering opaque media
Maintains records and orderliness within the department
Assists in the training of students and ancillary personnel
Required Qualifications
High School diploma or equivalent
Two years of continuous recent experience as a radiologic technologist II
BLS - Basic Life Support Certification
Certification/Competency in one specialized area (Mammography, CT, MRI, Ultrasound, Angiography, PACS)
Fluoroscopy Permit issued by the State of California
Valid certificate as a Radiologic Technologist issued by the State of California
Valid ARRT Radiologic Technologist certification or equivalent education
