Key Responsibilities
Completes the MDS, CAA’s and care plans within regulated time frames.
Coordinates scheduling the RAI process with the interdisciplinary team.
Assesses resident through physical assessment, interview and chart review.
Discusses resident care needs with caregivers, including physician, nursing, social services, therapy, dietary, and activity staff.
Reviews information from hospital, consults and outside agencies for assessment and care planning.
Conducts PPS meetings and maintains MDS assessments per Medicare schedule.
Remains current with AANAC requirements.
Required Qualifications
Experience as an RN MDS Nurse
Knowledge of the Resident Assessment Instrument (RAI) process
AANC certification a plus. RAC-CT
Preferred Qualifications
Understanding of the Prospective Payment Process (PPS)
