Key Responsibilities

  • Responsible for technical aspects of the quality control program in the Radiation Oncology Dept.
  • Assists Chief Physicist in meeting NJ State and NRC regulations for patient treatment and safety
  • Assists in performing treatment planning and calculations
  • Conducts calibrations of Linear Accelerators
  • Plans and delivers HDR brachytherapy cases
  • Verifies treatment parameters in patient charts
  • Collaborates with Chief Physicist, Dosimetrists, and physicians

Required Qualifications

  • M.S. or Ph.D. in Radiation Science, Health Physics, Physics or equivalent
  • Two years of experience in a clinical Radiation Therapy Department
  • Eligible for ABR certification in related Medical physics specialty
