Travel Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) – Rehab

Shift Type: Days
Hours/Day: 8 (M-F, flexible start 6 AM – 10 AM / 35 GWW)
Weekends: No weekends scheduled unless making up hours
On Call: None
HumanEdge Health is seeking a skilled Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) for a 13-week travel assignment in Harrisonville, Missouri. The SLP will provide evaluation, treatment, and rehabilitation services to patients with communication, cognitive, or swallowing disorders in a skilled nursing/rehab setting.
Screen, evaluate, and rehabilitate patients with communication, cognitive, or swallowing disorders
Develop and implement individualized treatment plans following regulatory and clinical standards
Utilize standardized assessments and evidence-based practices to support clinical interventions
Monitor patient progress and adjust treatments accordingly, documenting in the clinical record
Evaluate treatment outcomes for effectiveness and modify services as needed
Provide consultation and counseling to patients, families, caregivers, and other service providers
Communicate effectively with supervisors and interdisciplinary team members regarding patient care
Prepare comprehensive discharge summaries and maintain accurate patient records
Accurately document treatment minutes per regulatory and clinical requirements
Participate in patient care conferences, utilization review meetings, and rehab team meetings
Attend facility and company trainings, in-services, and continuing education
Obtain any necessary DME or supplies per regulatory and clinical requirements
Supervise and support CFY or Student Speech-Language Pathologists
Adhere to ASHA and state professional practice acts, code of conduct, and ethical standards
Maintain active ASHA certification and state licensure
Minimum 1 year SLP experience – Required
New grads accepted with Level II fieldwork experience
LTC or SNF experience – Required
MO State License – Required
CCC certified SLP – Required
3 years experience holding active CCS – Preferred
