Job Position: Special Education Teacher
Location: Near Highland Park, IL | Therapeutic Day School Setting
Pay Rate: $45$55 per hour , based on experience
Shift: 8:00 AM 2:30 PM
Description:
Birch Agency is seeking a Special Education Teacher to join one of our partner therapeutic day schools near Highland Park, Illinois . This program serves an all-male student population and is designed to support students with specialized academic, behavioral, and social-emotional needs.
Position Details:
* Schedule: 8:00 AM 2:30 PM
* Setting: Therapeutic Day School
* Caseload: All-male student population
* Pay Rate: $45$55 per hour , based on experience
* Start: 20252026 school year (or specify start if needed)
Requirements:
* Valid Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with the appropriate Special Education endorsement
* Experience working with students in therapeutic or highly structured settings preferred
* Strong classroom management and communication skills
* Ability to collaborate with a multidisciplinary team
Responsibilities:
* Provide individualized and small-group instruction
* Implement IEP goals and accommodations
* Support students academic, behavioral, and social-emotional development
* Maintain a safe and structured classroom environment
* Collaborate with staff, therapists, and administration
