Travel Nursing Job Details

• Location: Spirit Lake, IA 51360 (Iowa nursing jobs)
• Assignment Length: 13 weeks (Start: 1/6/2026 – End: 4/7/2026)
• Healthcare Setting: Medical/Surgical & Critical Care Unit (CCU)
• Shift: 12-hour rotating shifts (7a-7p and 7p-7a), day/night rotation
• Hours: 36 hours per week
• Schedule: Every other weekend required; no on-call
• Floating: Willingness to float to Med/Surg as needed
• Hospital Size: 49 beds (CCU is a 3-bed department)
• Estimated Weekly Salary: $1930 - $2070

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active Iowa or compact Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Minimum 1 year of hospital nursing experience, with at least 6 months in critical care or CCU
• Experience with cardiac monitoring preferred
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications (required for all RN jobs)
• PALS certification preferred
• Adult/Child Abuse Mandatory Reporting certification
• Strong ability to work independently and as part of a healthcare team
• Compliance with hospital dress code: navy and white scrubs, closed-toe shoes, tattoos covered, natural hair colors, limited piercings

RN Responsibilities

• Triage and assess patients in both Med/Surg and Critical Care Unit settings
• Deliver direct and indirect patient care, addressing physical and psychosocial needs
• Utilize the nursing process to plan, coordinate, and implement patient care plans
• Accurately document care and patient outcomes using Meditech
• Collaborate with physicians, patients, and families to ensure high-quality healthcare
• Demonstrate professionalism and respect in all interactions
• Float to other hospital units as needed based on census and staffing requirements
