The Music Operations Manager provides musical leadership for Disney Cruise Line's Musician Crew Members, guiding them through the rehearsal process and upholding the creative integrity of each offering. The Music Operations Manager supports casting efforts, maintains music materials, ensures creative consistency across the fleet, and contributes to an exceptional guest experience. This role is also responsible for teaching musical charts, communicating the original creative intent, and delivering actionable feedback to support polished, high-quality performances.
Maintain and update music charts, ensuring accuracy and adaptability for casting or technical changes.
Assist in the creation, editing, and maintenance of audition music.
Organize and manage both digital and physical music libraries, and coordinate distribution of sheet music, charts, and audio tracks.
Conduct ship visits during port days and sailings, to audit musical performances and contingencies as needed.
Review and respond to special music requests for weddings in collaboration with relevant partners.
Uphold music content guidelines and mentor musicians to ensure appropriate and engaging guest experiences.
Lead cast meetings in the absence of the Talent Booking & Operations Manager.
Lead musician rehearsals with clarity, creativity, and professionalism - teaching charts, delivering feedback, and ensuring alignment with the original creative intent.
Collaborate with cast leadership (Dance, Vocal, Staging Captains) and shipboard teams to support the creative and operational success of all musical offerings.
Support Music Captain selections during rehearsals.
Ad hoc projects/assignment, as necessary.
1-3 years of previous music direction experience

~ Approaches issues, both creative and operational, with integrity and professionalism
~ Delivers show notes and creative feedback tactfully and in a constructive manner.
~ Ability to travel extensively - locally, domestically, and/or internationally.
Prior Disney Cruise Line experience, particularly in a Musician or Music Operations Manager role.
Capable of quickly adapting music charts as a result of technical challenges, casting changes and/or leadership requests
