Job Description

As a Diesel Fleet Mechanic Technician II at Sysco, you will ensure the safety and reliability of fleet vehicles through expert diagnosis and maintenance. Your role involves performing inspections, repairs, and ensuring compliance with regulations to minimize vehicle downtime and enhance fleet performance.

Key Responsibilities

Perform preventive maintenance inspections and repairs on fleet vehicles
Conduct FAI/CVI inspections in compliance with legal regulations
Diagnose malfunctions and perform repairs to manufacturer specifications
Document all work performed on work orders
Address Driver Vehicle Inspection Report write ups

Required Qualifications

Medium / Heavy Duty truck technical training
2-year school and 1 year of experience in fleet maintenance and repair or 3 years of experience
Proficient in electrical meter testing
Moderate knowledge in diagnosis and repair of electrical systems
Basic computer skills

Preferred Qualifications

Automotive or Medium/Heavy Duty Trucks certification
Working knowledge of computer-based diagnostic software
Basic knowledge in welding and cutting (gas, electric, MIG, TIG)
