Job Description & Requirements

Title: Registered Nurse - Infection Control/ Infection Prevention
Location: Providence, RI
Shift: Days; 35 hrs in a week; 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM
Duration: Over 10 month
Hybrid: 2 days in office; Travel required- several times per month to community sites as needed
Urgent need - should be available to start asap
Bilingual Spanish Required; please go over attached Spanish proficiency level with your candidate and identify in the coversheet their level of proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Activities may include but are not limited to:
• Developing power point presentations on various infection control topics
• Presenting infection control content on webinars
• Presenting infection control content in person at healthcare facilities
• Perform other duties as assigned

Skills, Knowledge and Abilities

• Comprehensive knowledge of infection control and infection prevention
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams)
• Good communication skills
• Strong presentation skills
• Ability to be flexible and adjust to a changing workflow
• Valid driver's license and willingness to drive personal vehicle to field visits
• Willingness to conduct a field visit to a facility that may be experiencing an outbreak
• Strong interpersonal skills
• Strong written and oral communication skills
• Extensive experience collaborating with other teams/groups
• Ability to work in a professional team environment, as well as independently
• Bilingual- English/Spanish

• Bachelor's degree in nursing from an accredited school of nursing.
• Active nursing license in the state of Rhode Island.
• At least two years of experience in infection control and prevention.
• Certification in infection control and prevention preferred.
