Job Description
Join Sanford Health as a Patient Access Representative and play a vital role in providing exceptional customer service to patients. In this dynamic position, you will be the first point of contact, ensuring a welcoming experience while managing various administrative tasks across different departments.
Key Responsibilities
Greet patients and verify demographics
Create, scan, and route documents or electronic forms
Inform patients about documents and capture signatures
Establish financial responsibility and assist with arrangements
Collect co-payments and payments on account balances
Coordinate and schedule appointments with nursing team and providers
Obtain referrals and conduct pre-authorization
Check patients in and out and manage multi-line phone
Required Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent
One year of work experience in a medical office setting
Customer service skills
Preferred Qualifications
Post-secondary education
Medical terminology knowledge
Six months' customer service experience
