Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active RN license (Registered Nurse)
• Minimum 1 year of recent Cardiac Telemetry, Progressive Care Unit (PCU), or ICU nursing experience
• Certifications required: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS (include in submittal packet)
• Proficient in reading and interpreting EKGs and telemetry strips
• Experience with post-cardiac procedural care (ablations, cardiac catheterizations, post-op open heart, pacemaker placements)
• Professional references and national criminal background check required
• Ability to work full-time, including 3 weekend shifts per scheduling period
• MO TC testing within 30 days of start

Cardiac Telemetry RN Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality patient care to cardiac telemetry patients in a 29-bed unit
• Administer and titrate IV medications (insulin, Cardizem, Cardene, Amiodarone)
• Perform nursing procedures: IV insertions, NGT placement/maintenance, chest tube maintenance, temporary pacemakers, Foley insertions
• Float to other hospital units as needed based on competency
• Promote positive patient experiences by treating every patient with courtesy and respect, responding promptly to call lights, and involving patients in bedside shift reports
• Utilize Imobile for effective team communication
• Foster a collaborative and supportive healthcare environment
