Key Responsibilities
Assist in planning and leading age-appropriate activities
Engage with children ensuring safety and wellbeing
Support classroom routines including meals and rest
Maintain a clean and organized classroom environment
Follow state regulations and center policies
Greet and interact with parents in a professional manner
Collaborate with staff to resolve issues
Participate in staff meetings and training sessions
Required Qualifications
High School Diploma or equivalent
Completion of at least one 3-credit college course in Psychology, Sociology, or Early Childhood Education
Minimum 1 year of experience working in a childcare setting
Must meet Vermont state standards for Teaching Assistant roles
Preferred Qualifications
First Aid and CPR certification
Passion for working with children
Ability to lift 40 lbs regularly
Strong communication skills
Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
