Join the Market District Meat Team as a Meat Cutter, where you'll provide top-notch service and the freshest products to our customers. Your role will involve cutting and preparing meat, ensuring safety and quality while inspiring a passion for food among your team and guests.
Key Responsibilities
Cut meat to be sold to customers
Service guests by answering questions and/or filling special orders
Rotate and check code dates on products
Wrap and maintain meat case
Maintain safety as the top priority
Provide active sampling opportunities
Unload deliveries by checking in truck
Maintain cleanliness of equipment and area
Required Qualifications
Satisfactory completion of job specific skills assessment
6 to 12 months experience or successful completion of the Giant Eagle Apprenticeship program
Meat cutting certification
High school diploma or equivalent
Preferred Qualifications
Prior meat cutting experience
