ER RN Job Details – Hyannis, MA

• Location: Hyannis, Massachusetts (Cape Cod, 02601)
• Assignment Length: 13 weeks (October 20, 2025 – January 17, 2026)
• Healthcare Setting: Emergency Room (ER)
• Employment Type: Locum tenens, travel nursing contract
• Shifts: 36 hours/week, rotating 12-hour night shifts (7:00pm – 7:30am), every other weekend and holiday required
• Guaranteed Hours: 36 per week
• Estimated Weekly Salary Range: $1990 - $2130

ER Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
• Active Massachusetts Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Minimum 2 years of recent Emergency Room RN experience
• At least 1 year of ER travel nursing experience preferred
• Current BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certifications
• Successful completion of hospital pharmacology and basic arrhythmia exams
• Proficiency in IV administration, IV starts, ventilator care, and telemetry monitoring
• Excellent English communication skills (verbal and written)
• Preferred: TNCC, ENPC, PALS, and de-escalation certification

ER Nurse Responsibilities

• Deliver patient care using the nursing process: assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation
• Administer and monitor patient responses to medications and treatments
• Direct and guide patient care, teaching, and activities of ancillary healthcare staff
• Maintain accurate, up-to-date patient records and documentation
• Develop and communicate individualized care and discharge plans
• Demonstrate leadership as charge nurse and serve as a resource for ER staff
• Participate in staff meetings, mandatory programs, and ongoing professional development
• Adhere to safety and infection control policies and procedures
• Provide excellent customer service to patients, families, and colleagues
• Represent the hospital positively within the Cape Cod community and maintain patient confidentiality
• Perform other duties as assigned by nursing supervisors
