Nationwide Therapy Group is seeking a travel nurse RN PCU - Progressive Care Unit for a travel nursing job in Burlington, North Carolina.

Job Description & Requirements

• Specialty: PCU - Progressive Care Unit
• Discipline: RN
• Duration: 10 weeks
• 36 hours per week
• Shift: 12 hours, nights
• Employment Type: Travel

• Provide direct patient care to high-acuity cardiac and stepdown/PCU-level patients
• Manage patient loads with ratios typically 1:5
• Administer and titrate cardiac and vasoactive drips
• Perform telemetry monitoring and dysrhythmia interpretation
• Care for patients with:
  • Chest tubes (Emerson/Pleur-evac)
  • Tracheostomies
  • External CPAP/BiPAP
  • PICC lines and peripheral IVs
• Assist with procedural sedation and respond to rapid response team activations
• Coordinate patient care plans and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams
• Utilize EPIC for charting and documentation
• Telemetry monitoring
• Interpretation & management of dysrhythmias
• Cardiac/vasoactive drip management (including titration)
• Chest tube care
• Tracheostomy management
• Pre/post cardiac catheterization care
• Must be flexible with scheduling
