Join Centennial Surgery Center as a Prescreening Registered Nurse, where you will assess patients' healthcare needs before surgery, ensuring they receive the best pre-operative care. Your role is vital in coordinating surgical preparations and enhancing the patient experience.
Key Responsibilities
Contact operative patients for pre-operative assessment
Assess the physical and psychological health status of patients requiring surgical intervention
Perform preoperative patient phone calls to conduct preadmission assessments and provide appropriate pre-operative instructions
Coordinate with surgery center scheduler to facilitate, organize, and complete charts for procedures
Consult with Physician/CRNA regarding patient assessment concerns and schedules preoperative evaluations
Report test abnormalities and other pertinent information to relevant staff as necessary
Required Qualifications
Graduate from an accredited school of professional nursing
Minimum 2 years of experience in a PACU or ICU setting; preferably in an ambulatory surgery center
Active RN license as required by state of employment
Valid BCLS Certification upon employment (online certification not acceptable)
ACLS required
PALS as required by facility
