Job Description

Join Medical Group Alaska as a contracted Occupational Medicine Provider in Summerville, SC, where you'll conduct essential medical examinations and contribute to the health of service members. Enjoy a flexible schedule while making a significant impact in occupational health.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct physical exams for various customers including federal and defense
  • Perform occupational health exams including pre- and post-employment and annual physicals
  • Provide written medical opinions based on medical records
  • Complete examinations in unique settings such as homebound and event sites
  • Complete Veterans Benefits Administration Disability Benefit Questionnaires (DBQs)
  • Provide primary medical evaluations including review of systems and diagnostic studies
  • Document examinee records in appropriate systems
  • Collaborate with professional and clinical staff and communicate effectively with teams

Required Qualifications

  • Master’s Degree in Nurse Practitioner Studies from an accredited university or college
  • Minimum 2 years of post-graduate experience in General Medicine or Internal Medicine
  • Minimum 3 years of post-graduate primary care experience
  • Valid BLS OR ACLS certification
  • Unrestricted State medical licensure
  • National Licensing with ANCC or AANP
  • Current certification by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA)
  • Valid DEA license
  • Valid CPR or BLS certification
  • Ability to pass a medical clearance
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain government clearances

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience conducting occupational/disability medical examinations
