Join Raytheon as a Senior Principal Engineer – One Shots, where you'll apply your expertise in developing advanced fuzing and propulsion technologies. You'll lead projects, manage subcontractors, and work closely with customers to ensure the delivery of high-quality products that contribute to national defense.
Key Responsibilities
Apply and/or develop advanced one shot devices technologies
Provide technical oversight to subcontractors
Manage subcontract suppliers to deliver required components on schedule
Interface with the customer to identify user needs
Support failure analysis and corrective action through redesign
Present design models and analyses/test results to internal and customer meetings
Support proposals requiring one shots technologies
Oversee fact-finding and contract negotiations
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and 10 years of prior relevant experience OR an Advanced degree and 7 years of relevant experience
A minimum of ten years of experience in fuzing / one shots / engineering technology and/or engineering design
Active and transferable U.S. government issued security clearance
Preferred Qualifications
MS in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Physics, Math, or related science degree
Twelve or more years of directly related experience in one shot devices and their applications
Experience in working with and managing one shot suppliers
Supplier collaboration experience and oversight generating specifications and statements of work (SOW)
Experience in One-Shot component designs and ability to evaluate performance data
Experience in business development and technology road mapping
Excellent written and verbal skills
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Ability to manage multiple and competing priorities
Working knowledge or experience with missile design or development
Experience with DoD customers
